A Spooky Hot Tub Halloween

With Halloween just around the corner, it’s time to start picking out a costume, decorating your house with fake spider webs, and planning a spooky get-together for you and your friends. If you’re lucky enough to own a personal spa, this is the perfect time to incorporate it into a night filled with delicious snacks, great conversation, and a scary story or two. Here are a few tips to help you throw the party of the year!

Turn on the Mood Lights

An easy way to add a creepy glow to your outdoor space is to switch on your hot tub’s mood lights. Try turning the lights to red so that the water has a blood-like appearance. If you’d like to go all out, try scattering plastic bones and fake body parts around the outside of your hot tub. Another option is to switch the lights to green and create a space that resembles a radioactive, toxic spill. You can add another layer to the illusion by purchasing or DIYing a sign that says “Warning: Toxic Spill Ahead!”

Scary Delicious Treats

In honor of Halloween, try whipping up a few snacks that are as spooky as they are tasty. A few great choices include cookies decorated with bats and ghosts, blood-red fruit punch, candy apples, deviled eggs, and stuffed orange peppers carved to resemble jack-o’-lanterns. If you’re short on time, you can always keep it simple and set up a few bowls of everyone’s favorite candy. Twizzlers, Candy Corn, Snickers, Skittles, and Reese’s are always hits.

Brush Up on a Few Scary Stories

Once everyone has served themselves a plate of delicious food and is comfortably settled into your hot tub, get the party started with a few scary stories! Go ahead and invite your friends to tell their favorite, spine-chilling tales. Just to be safe, it’s a good idea to prepare a few stories ahead of time on the off chance that your guests draw a blank. Do You Like Scary Movies?

Try setting up a projector or TV so that you and your friends can watch your favorite flick together. During the set-up process, just make sure to put a few feet of distance between any electrical cords and your hot tub. Water and electricity definitely don’t mix!
