When it comes to keeping your pool maintenance in check, one of the most important things you can do is maintain a proper water level.
Water level controls a number of different things. It makes sure there’s an adequate flow of water throughout the equipment & keeps your automatic cover at a manageable height, so it doesn’t pull, stretch, tear, or break ropes. In order to keep these things intact, a pool’s water level needs to be kept about half way up the skimmers, which is usually just above the second screw from the bottom (or just below the second screw from the top).
Maintaining a pool’s water level is extremely important & simple to do. Without it, costly damage can be done. So relax, jump on in, and maybe even start a water fight in the pool with the hose!
